More About The Programme

The best way to lose weight is to take in (consume) slightly less energy (from food and drinks) than you normally do and to increase your level of activity to help burn up the calories rather than store any excess calories as fat.

Sounds simple! but what activity? how much? how often?

I’ve received all these questions and more and so I decided to create a programme that lays it out for you. This programme contains both Tabata style and HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts as well as LISS (Low Intensity Steady State eg walking).

Tabata improves athletic performance and glucose metabolism and acts as an excellent catalyst for fat burning.

HIIT is a great way to lose weight, by burning fat. HIIT can also increase your resting metabolic rate, and helps you continue to burn calories for up to 24 hours post-exercise!

LISS on the other hand isn’t a term that is spoken of too often but certainly has it’s place in a fat loss programme. LISS essentially means keeping your heart rate at a consistent, sustainable pace throughout your workout. It’s great as it not only helps you recover from the previous days workout but keeps you active and prepared for the next workout.
